The title says it all. I have a friend who cant authenticate using his computer. (We tried on mine and all goes well)

Whatever the method we tried to get logged it fails. The response:

Auth Error: authserver not available.

I tried disabling the firewall & AV. Executing the UrT as admin etc.. No results.

First i though it could be something wrong with dns or the network, so i reflush the dns and tried ping the authserver.urbanterror.info and... it works! But when we tried auth through the urt client it fail again.

That guy is the headmaster of our clan. We need him authenticated!!

Well, releasing some random ideas like that, but have you tried running the installer as admin?

I've got a suggestion. Ping suggests you have connectivity but if the port being used to communicate to the auth server is being redirected then that would cause auth to fail. Your friend might have port forwarding enabled on his router for the range that's being used by the auth server. This might happen if he is running a home server using a different computer and it has been set up as dedicated. If this is the case, try disabling the port forwarding on the router and see if this fixes it - if it does you will have to fine tune the port forwarding rules to be able to do both (use auth and run the server(s).

I think auth uses 27950-27959 (not sure).
