So since NVGs arent a competetive item and probaly never will be, why not make them badass instead so you just use them for the coolness factor.

So basicly transform it into the predator view and maybe 20% more melee damage

Maybe even add the predator view sound effect while its turned on.

What do you think?

NVGs are more effective in competitive play when you should already know where all your teammates are and don't have to figure out which team is which. Usually comes packaged with a G36, so sacrificing a laser doesn't mean losing an item.
Depending on the map, there is often a TAC user on each team. I don't know that I've played a Toxic match without seeing them.
Some terrain is fairly wallhacked with NVG, the train on Eagle and cloudy water, all trees/brush.
It's silly to run around everywhere all the time with them (unless you're blind, some people need them), but their effective use is too damned powerful for any more bonuses.

As much as I love Predator, I don't want to be playing FarCry3 Blood Dragon when I'm trying to play Urban Terror.

Tacs should have limited view distance.
