I'm running UrT 4.2.018. I can record demos and watch them myself. Other players can't watch my demos, they get the message that the demo 4.2.016 is.

who do you mean by "they"?

Anyway all my demos have this issue, it's related to my urt client for some reason. I could probably fix it by reinstalling, but I'm more curious to the cause.

I thought "other players" couldn't watch your demos, who are they and what engine are they using?

The other players run the current version 4.2.018 just like me, but they get the message that my demos are version 4.2.016
