Hi,

So I bought a server from gameserver.com. After a long time of configuring and trying to make it online, this is the error I get when everyone tries to connect to the server:


What is that? How can I solve it?

I need my server for an official match in two hours or so :<

It looks like one or several pk3 are corrupted on the server.

A model with a _3.md3 designator is part of the hitmesh package. What the error is saying is either it's missing from the package or is corrupted.

As part of the loading progression, and is a must have requirement, if this required file is not found loading is stopped and an error is produced. You could fix this error by making sure that this file is in place but in probability another error will be produced, like lower_3.md3 being missing.

As best practice when setting up a server the ideal would be to first download the game using our updater, setting up a local test server, and then uploading the entire package to the off site server.

Also it's recommended that when setting up a server to not included or share any files from 4.1.

P.S.

zUrT42_0011.pk3 is the player model package so if not there add it and if there delete it and download a new copy.

Alright I think the issue is there. Gameservers.com gave me a 4.1 server. Then I have to install the patches via their administration panel. I guess it probably installed the 4.2 over 4.1 without any overwrite.

Is it fine if I upload my *.pk3 files to the server?

Alright so the problem is almost solved.

It is now possible to connect to my server but two new bugs appear:

- The gun is not shown (even if I check it in my settings);
- I have the hit sound happening each time I press Escape and click on any button.

So I guess it's again a pk3 file problem? I will try to upload all my pk3 files to rewrite the server's and see if it's better. Otherwise I will re-install and install every patches one by one.

You will need to remove all 4.1 files and upload a clean 4.2 build.

Hi,

Well I don't really know how but apparently the problem seems to be solved. I simply uploaded all my *.pk3 files to the server and rebooted it. It works perfectly now!
