How can my wife and I play at the same time?

I have made 2 separate accounts and one can connect fine

When the second connects it is kicked saying "kicked: Double GUID"

thanks...

(we can each play on different servers, I only get the message when I try to connect to the same server)


edit: I just tried connecting to my neighbors wifi so we would each be on a different connection/ip.

same problem.

i guess you copy pasted the game?
this results into the fact that both your games have the same qkey (file)and guid(cvar)
to fix this simply delete the qkey file and check your q3config for a cvar called guid (or something like that). alternatively you could delete the q3config, if you have no special settings done. the game will create a new one upon next startup
for sure you only have to do this for one copy of the game.
