Texture folders location in disk and my textures not loading in texture browser Rate Topic: -----

I recently installed GtkRadiant 1.5 on my Windows partition because of the better support and also availability of programs but I have a question.

I finished the layout (for the most part) of my map and I was starting to put some textures to see the result in a section, but I cannot see the textures in radiant that I'm putting in my folder. The path is
Urbanterror42mapping/q3ut4/textures/mymapfolder/mytexturehere


Also, in that textures folder, I only have Common, Radiant and my own map... but in the Radiant texture browser I see tons of folders with textures inside, where are they? Is this linked to the fact that I cannot see my own texture? Because I can see my folder, I just can't load new textures in there.

I tried flushing and reloading but nothing.

Hello Happy, I tried to place a random Common texture in my map folder but it doesn't appear after flushing and reloading. Am I missing something? :D

check this:
---------------------------
File > project settings...

select mod >> custom quakeIII modification
fs_game >> q3ut4
-------------------------------------

and this:
------------------
press "T"
menù view(my txt window):
x hide unused
x hide image missing
x show all
v show shaders
x shaders only
x fixed size

Yes Ottone, that's exactly my configuration. I think the problem might be the shaderlist, which I've never really understood how it works. Do you guys have a recent one? I might try replacing that.

Or rather explain this to me please: if I add a texture in my /textures/mymap/mytexture, how do I add the reference to the shaderlist?

Do I add mymap, or mytexture?

mmmhhhhh.... try this conf for your textures directory:

textures/mymap_mytexture1
textures/mymap_mytexture2
textures/mymap_mytexture3
ecc.ecc.


ps:
Se ti va contattami sul mio voice server mumble or irc channel(IvN-clan) così vediamo cosa non va, anche io ho gtk-radiant 1.5 ed avevo lo stesso problema; mi trovi dopo le 20.00

so you have a shader file: "q3ut4/scripts/path/shaderfile"
that contains a shader: "textures/mymap/mytexture"

now your shaderlist.txt should contain:
"path/shaderfile"
in radiant you find your texture:
"mymap/mytexture"

hope that helps.
