Hello everyone,
I downloaded 4.2 the other day played a little bit then had to go. I came back on today to play and I can't find 4.2 my 4.1 is still on my desktop and I can play it. I looked in the q3 folder but it's all the old stuff.
Help this noob please.

4.2 has nothing to do with 4.1 in terms of installation locations/folders. In fact having them in the same path causes both to crash.
so....
a) how did you install/download 4.2? (updater/full zip)
b) OS?
[ c) serious about "on my desktop"? xP ]
anyway. if you used the full zip 4.2 will just be where you extracted it to.
if you used the updater UrT will be in the location the updater was, when you had it download the game.

Hello,
Yes, I downloaded the full zip I'm on windows 7, I have a shortcut to urt on my desktop that I click and it opens urt.
After I downloaded 4.2 I didn't get an option for a shortcut and it's not in my urt folder.
Do I need to uninstall 4.1?

But you did extract it?
If not:
Place the zip to a location you want 4.2 to be installed/extracted to (do NOT choose the same location as 4.1) and extract it.
If you did extract it:
Problem is that if you used the full zip it will only extract itself to where the .zip was placed, and not register itself as a program. That's no real problem for running the game, but makes it harder to find it on the disk.
Check your downloads location (where you saved the full .zip to). maybe 4.2 is placed in the same location. If you didn't ran it from outside the .zip, without extracting of course.
Another option would be searching your disk for something like UrTUpdater.exeor Quake3-UrT.exe
