Those weird bright diagonal bands in the second image makes me worried. Is that some kind of OpenGL rendering bug?

Those bands of diagonal light would be Sun Beams, an added effect for realism.
But if I am wrong and those beams are rendering issues, I will have to alert authorities that the earth is failing to render morning Forests correctly!

You all don't get the real difference. It's the enemy/monster on the bridge. It died of the cold already. (or by other means...)
