Hi all, I decided to finally start sharing some pictures of my new (uhh, first) map for Urban Terror. If possible, I might remake it/improve it for UrtHD, but for now it's meant for 4.2.
I was actually going to call it "Villa" but the name has already been used so... I present to you: Mansion!
This is just work in progress and as such you might see missing planes, wrong textures and temporary geometry but I'm 99,99% satisfied with the result. You might have also seen my Sundial and my Rolls Royce models before. They are all going to be included in this map.
Any suggestions/comments/critics are of course welcome, just make sure you properly elaborate on them. :P

What type of map will it be?
What gamemodes will it support?

It's going to be a mansion so basically it's a huge building that covers most of the map, the outside which will be the entrance (above), the gardens, the pool, and so on. There will be an inside too, but only to provide a nice layout, most sections of the mansion won't be accessible and only serve the purpose of blocking the paths and/or vis.

This map is thought for TS but I think it will support CTF nicely too. It's asymmetrical so that might be tricky but it will make for a more interesting gameplay. I will add basic support for all gamemodes, like spawns and entities. This is because players can still load the map in any gamemode and it will load, so in order to avoid having a broken map, I'll add basic support.

The layout is done, I mean the map basic geometry is finished, I'm already adding detail. I think the layout is quite as I want it to be, but when possible I'll provide an alpha version for layout testing, with little or no textures, no vis, just for testing the map flow. :)

yeah. maybe the left one for a big path (maybe large enough to support a gulf cart) and the right one for smaller paths into the garden.
