I would like to contribute to the source code.

Hey all, I am hoping some team members view this.
I am currently a CS student, about to dual major in CE or EE as well.
I am looking for an open source project to contribute to in order to further my programming skillset. I currently program mainly in Java, but I've been learning C. I can pick up new languages pretty quickly.
I was hoping that the dev team would allow me to contribute to the project. I feel that once I'm up to speed with the codebase and language, I'd be an asset and not a liability.
I am hoping to hear from you all soon. I like what you're doing.

The Dev team should really implement some sort of complex test for traitors.
LOL well one whoopsie in 15 years is not something to go chicken little and with the exception of letting the running AC out of the bag was a crime equal to a collage panty raid.
My/our running gag is we should release the game code to GPL to teach everyone a lesson. As it is now our coders can only work on parts of the code as seeing to many parts at once can cause severe head to keyboard injuries
doing "stuff" with dead things.

Which should be the way to go. Hacks are out there anyway and you won't be able to stop them since they proved to be more nerd (in terms of time spent finding how to make a aimbots and wallhacks for 4.2) than FS; you will only benefit from speeding up the game development.
My 2 cents

I think this was already discussed many times and you know our stance on this, Fenix.
Yes, and I never agreed with it . Not to mention that I think that if UrT would be open source, very very very few people will contribute to the code, since the game is not that attractive anymore. But still, your call not mine or anyone else.
Keep it up anyway

Ye, barely. Not very much free time lately to play/do anything else.
