Hi everybody,

so here's my problem is that when I 'm on Urban Terror and I do a ALT+TAB , I freeze , I already tried reinstalling the game, no effect , so if any of you know how to solve this ..

I tried to reinstall the game , change the config, set the same resolution on the game and on the PC , cl_alttab 1, but its still not working ..

hi there.
i suppose we would need a bit more information in order to help you with that:

1) what is your operating system?
2) does the game crash, or does it give you that blue window with an error message in it?
3) is this a recent problem (if so it might be related to a (driver-)update)
4) try checking your qconsole.log file for more info

So I 'm on Windows 10, but I already had this problem beforeThe update (win8) , I can play but I feel like my game is back to the 60hz setting (i got a 144hz screeen), I have this problem since I changed pc . And do not have the file " qconsole.log " .. :)

I'm on win 10 and alt tab doesn't do anything here (won't get you to your desktop)

Instead I use the windows logo between ctrl and left alt on my keyboard when I want to get back to my desktop.

Does that bring you back to your console?

I don't want to sound like a terrible doctor but If your game freezes on alt tab don't use it on win 10 that was a previous win 7 command and is not working at all in win 10.

Perhaps i'm not getting what you want to achieve and miss understand you so can you clarify yourself?

You didn't understand what kind of problem this is, the game only freezing after im doing a alt tab mid game checking smthg like facebook etc, when i come back in my game it seems blurry and unplayable the only thing i can do is vid_restart. and i dunno understand why, with my older PC i didnt had this kind of pb.Do you understand? ;D

ps: using the windows button do not fix this, and i can't unused the alt tab button I always use it

What king of gpu are you using are your videocard drivers still running after you press alt tab?

On my system alt tab doesn't do anything under win 10 so I use the windows button.

I think it is hardware or software related for your os and it has likely nothing to do with urban terror unless other games do work when you give your pc that command?
Your screen sounds weird also 144hz urban terror only draws 125 fps but i would suggest sticking to 60hz

The most optimal setting would be to set refresh rate to 125Hz in urbanterror.
That or use G-sync or freesync.

Playing at these "new" high refresh rates is a far more pleasant experience and allows for much smoother gameplay.

As far as Alt tab goes... no idea works fine in ubuntu. ;)

For the time being you can choose a smaller resolution, so you dont play fullscreen and dont need alttab.
