Kinda related to my previous post but in a more "In Depth" sense, as steam workshop content often allows much more control over models, sounds, textures, maps, etc.

Is FS considering enabling steam workshop at some point? I have recently been enjoying using steam workshop in the game "Insurgency". Not only has that game enabled the users to create cool client side content but also some server side content which can then be sent to clients. So a server can subscribe to a community made weapon with its own stats etc.

All the community made maps are workshops so the server admin just has to subscribe to a specific map and then add it to the maplist and there it is. Similarly some modder can create a new type of equipment or even a new looking player model and a server admin just has to subscribe to that workshop item and it works on their server. The downloading of assets and stuff just happens automatically through the steam client and workshop connection.

The workshop system is pretty powerful and can allow users to add some neat content to the game.
