[TuaD]

I recorded some demos and noticed that while I could view them in game, they were not located on the usual q3ut4 folder or anywhere that I could find. I found this really odd so I tried moving the whole Urban Terror folder to the desktop and now I can't even view them in game. Does anyone know how I can find these demos?

What's your operating system? How many demos have you got in that folder?

Windows 10. Those demos were never in the folder (or maybe they just weren't visible?) but if I opened up the game and clicked on the demos tab they were there and were watchable. They were about 4 and when I moved the whole Urban Terror folder to the desktop they were no longer even in the game's demo tab and therefore couldn't load them anymore.

check the cvar fs_homepath via the console. Possibly you had one of those odd occasions where windows actually decided to create a q3ut4 folder in your user files. (custom builts like mitsu/r00ts built do that as well).

demos should always be located in FS_HOMEPATH/q3ut4/demos.
