Since this affects your armband, you probably don't want this enabled outside Instagib games so it's best kept as a separate script file to \exec. To undo it simply \bind MOUSE1 +attack.
// Discogib by CuteBunny
//
// Changes the color of your armband, and thus the color of
// the smoke trail in Instagib, every time you shoot.
//
// To add a color, change the last color (discogib.6) to step to
// the new one (discogib.7) instead of starting over (discogib.1),
// and make sure the new one does start over by stepping back to
// the first color.
set discogib.1 "set cg_rgb 255,0,0; set discogib vstr discogib.2" // RED
set discogib.2 "set cg_rgb 0,255,0; set discogib vstr discogib.3" // GREEN
set discogib.3 "set cg_rgb 0,0,255; set discogib vstr discogib.4" // BLUE
set discogib.4 "set cg_rgb 255,255,0; set discogib vstr discogib.5" // YELLOW
set discogib.5 "set cg_rgb 0,255,255; set discogib vstr discogib.6" // CYAN
set discogib.6 "set cg_rgb 255,0,255; set discogib vstr discogib.1" // MAGENTA
set discogib "vstr discogib.1"
set +discogib "+attack; vstr discogib"
set -discogib "-attack"
bind MOUSE1 "+vstr +discogib -discogib"
