You're giving us all the tools we need to denigrate you, so what does the future hold for urt5?

I wouldn't say things are glossed over, developers are investing many hours bringing UrT5 towards a public release, just last week another twelve members of the community were added to the QA team. I know for myself, if I spent time trying to promote the old game, that would slow development of the new game.
What the future holds for UrT5 I don't know, but I hope and expect that being on the Steam platform will bring new players in our direction to ad to the dedicated community members who remain.

I've tried other first person shooters out there and none are remotely as fun to me. IMO, UrT is still the best FPS out there and is the only one I care to play.

i think it will come back if the game can look more updated, and adding a few items. i havent played the beta or anything on the new engine so I am unaware of the limitations. I love this game. I take long breaks as its hard to find a server with any activity in it.
