Sense of Destruction

Ground trembles in China revealing dark, endless shafts. Tranquility shatters, a looming growl escapes the silo. Looking down I see a void. The quiet Chinese setting shakes, an eerie orange glow emanates, igniting the shafts. That looming growl has gotten stronger. The Himalayas roll again, the blue birds, deer, all animals evacuate. They know something I don’t. The void has become angrier, no longer orange, but red. Another object raises, an intercontinental ballistic missile! Only a cone protrudes, and then silence…silence. A blood-curdling scream flows from the silo’s void, rudely awakening the silence. The rockets explode, walls of red-hot kick down neighboring flora. The missiles scream toward their destinations. They impact as the endless horror of continuous death and chaos echoes throughout my mind. That chaos has arisen today, when ground trembled in China, revealing dark, endless shafts.
