Ok, well really this is to help out Oswald.. You may or may not know his system is halted at a BSOD error
First bit I got from him is that he installed  Kaspersky 6.0 (Some sort of anti-virus program)
then he got A "STOP  8041D80F and 840000000 KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" error message
and "Windows NT Could Not Start...Ntoskrnl.exe" error message

So if anyone has some tips to help him out in safe mode or through the recovery console
lets here em..

And you all know how important it is to get oswald back online!

Thanks in advance..

Copy important files with a Linux Live CD to another computer/HD... reinstall windows.... put files back. That's what I'd do...

But ye, a quicker/easier solution would be nice too of course...

For the future , always put verry important files on a ftp , or on rewriteable DvDs/CD's ,  and make ghost files with Norton Ghost

I had the same thing happen with Kaspersky when I tried to install the Suite - I ended up having to reboot into Safe Mode, manually delete the Kaspersky folder, then run regedit and search for all instances of Kaspersky-related material/files.  Once I did that, I rebooted without issue.  It's a pain in the ass, but it's better than reformatting and reinstalling (I've done that more than once).
