I'm sure i've overlooked something simple.

Anyways....

I'm seeing "Client/Server Game Mismatch BASEQ3-1 /Q3UT-3.7" when I try to join a server. I'm running Urban Terror 3.7 on SuSE 10.1 with point release linuxq3apoint-1.32b-3.x86.run installed.

I'm out of ideas.

lemme guess, the server you're trying to connect to got gamename set to 'Q3UT3' instead of 'q3ut3'.

It was the only way around, my client was named Q3UT3 and the servers I tried to connect to were running q3ut3. I renamed and now things appear to work, allbeit with limited testing.

make a symlink to one from the other so it works on both.

ln -s q3ut3 Q3UT3

dunno, but it ain't a bug. it's really the server admins' fault and in nationalist's case, the client's.
oh yeah, and blame microsoft for their OS not being case sensitive and therefore making their users ignorant.
