I ended up switching over to Boot Camp for this game, and I'm happy I did. Not sure what I need now... I only have a mac version of Quake 3. Suggestions?

Just copy over pak0.pk3 and install 1.32b. It will create the .exe for you afaik. If not, get 1.32c, it has the executable for sure. 1.32c causes problems on some systems though.

Forgive the ignorance. Where would I get 1.32c? or b for that matter. And I'm assuming once I have that installed I can d/l UrT and install as instructed.

Sorry for being short, I assumed you were an experienced user ;)

Search the web for point release 1.32b and 1.32c. http://www.fileshack...rowse.x?cat=133 for example :) 1.32b installs all the needed pakfiles (and maybe a quake3.exe) and 1.32 only contains a new version of the quake3.exe which you can manually copy into the quake3 folder, overwriting the old one. Im not sure if 1.32b installs a quake3.exe, if not you can use the one from 1.32c. If it does, I wouldnt use the 1.32c one, cause it can cause trouble. You can just test it though. Backup the 1.32b .exe if you do ;)

And then you can install UrT yes, the easiest way is to get the full .exe installer, which will do the urt-install for you at http://ftp.snt.utwen...es/urbanterror/ .

Well yes of course....... but I didnt say copy the quake3 install.. just the urban terror folder

you had done a good job of telling him how to install q3 on windows already LOL ... I have no clue.. I'm not a windows guy but I do know that the urban terror install is the EXACT same Windows OR Mac..  just copy the folder over from the MAc partion to the windows partion and your rock and roll.

The nice thing about the installer is that it automaticly makes a shortcut to urbanterror on your desktop if you want, but wasting 400MB bandwith on it might be a little too much for just that advantage indeed ;)

Just as a cherry on this cake, that shortcut should be something like

c:yourq3folderquake3.exe +set fs_game q3ut3
