none of them work, they all hang at the awaiting connection screen, i tried with my firewall off and it didn't help.

Wierd, can you use a connect command and an IP and join up?

nope i tried that too and i tried a new config that didn't work so i went back to my old one

That's pretty odd, your positive you get no output at all in the console, maybe not a glaring error but something in the loading process that may be where it's barfing?

Have you eliminated PB as a factor?  You'd have an error if PB were doing anything, I'm just stabbing away here feel free to provide more info.

i've been around for awhile 99 or 98 can't quite remember to well loved quake3 and moved to ut in 2000 and never had this problem i've checked all things i figured might work or might be buggin it but idk i thought maybe the master server might be down but i checked and ppl are playing...idk man

awaiting connection doesnt have anything to do with which gamebrowser you use :P

awaiting connection just means that your client can't contact the gameserver. It must be a firewall thats not properly shut down that's blocking it or something. Does it hang at that screen, or just keep counting?

One thing some people could forget are programs like PeerGardian which blocs some ports used by some game servers.
So if the firewall is disabled but you use such program, you still can have connection problems.

get something like http://www.freedownl...Ping_Tools.html and try to ping a game server on its udp port. if you don't get a reply, it's up to your PC resp. your ISP.
