Morning all, I have posted a question about playing on my laptop over Here but was wondering if this tutorial about Installing Knoppix on a USB Key or in my case on my ipod and booting from it would run Urt better? Its basically running it from an external HD. I have heard that the nVidia drivers are much better on Linux and will give me a better boost in performance.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks !!

I'd go with Edgy for now. Feisty is still in development, right?

Can't your wife work with Open Office? :P

Ye, just rip the microsoft icons and hide openoffice behind that. Tell her it's an update from microsoft ;)

If she figures out you're conning her, it means she's intelligent enough to learn open office anyway, otherwise it's good also :P

Doesn't have the super search functionality. That is the only reason I stay with newsleecher - the search is awesome, search for urbanterror.exe and it pulls that you don't have to load headers or any of that junk.

I think runing game with from some kind of flash drive is not good idea, especially the ipod. Linux has plenty of windows programs equivalents. There's a list Linux software that is windows programs alternatives u should check it: http://www.linuxrsp..../table-eng.html . I think OpenOffice in current state is way better than solution than microsoft office and it's totally free, your wife should't feel a difference.
Good luck.

Regards
