:-D Isn't the interface a bit like alice in wonderland with a touch of wizard of oz?

I'm a bit confused with it.

At least old people over here find easy to use the 'big circle' top left.

Unless I'm getting old :-o

ps. thank the 12 gods at least openoffice can do most of it.

lol I actually thought it was kinda cute and easy to use... until I wanted to save or load something.. blasted microsuck people will never ever learn to create a consistent UI if you ask me. It's not like they're bad at copying superficial os x features now is it

It's because they're out of ideas man, they keep popping the hood and re-arranging stuff but I outside of 64 bit vista I don't see much newstuff.  To be fair, I have only a few weeks exposure to vista but I went to this technet event and the MS guy was struggling to pimp vista, he ended up showing us exchange/longhorn instead once he was out of flashy colors in vista to show us.  There are some features I liked in vista like the rolodex trick etc but that stuff is just candy.

I think you should stay with Open Office which is totally free and it has in current state very close functionality to MS Office. Why ppl pay for software if it's there free alternatives sometimes even better than the "original".

Why you use Office suite for programming language ? There are special editors or even api suits for those :)

they can be used e.g. for complicated calculations simple functions can't do on spreadsheet cells. ooffice has its own for it.
