I really liked the map ut_jackal from UT2.6. I still have the pak6.pk3 file. Can I leagally open up this file with WinZip, Extract the 4 or so files for jackal, put them into a blank ZIP file and then rename the extension to .pk3, then put it in my Q3UT3 folder for playing? Just wondering....I would really like to play this game again on my LAN party comming up in 2 weeks.

Legal in USA too. Depending on methods used. And yes even with P2P.
And yea everything on my pc is pirated including half of my pc.

It wouldn't be violating Quake 3's EULA. I just read the readme for 2.6a and I don't see anything in it that would make what you are suggesting illegal. Likely there is a readme for the actual jackal map where the author says it is copyright of him. In which case then yes it would be illegal without his permission. I'm not an expert though, maybe it would be illegal even without that copyright claim.

funny that you have the option of 'my whole pc is pirated'... because mine is!! literally!!
explaination: my friend had this transvestite porn loving roomate in college a couple years ago, he had a pretty top of the line machine at the time. anyways, he got deported for drugs back to france and he left his computer / monitor / box of software ect. all he took was the removable hard drive. So my friend and I were thinking of gutting it, but instead I just took the entire PC to my dorm and he kept the monitor and software. If someone was to come pick it up we were just going to say someone left the door unlocked and it was taken.
