getting the same fps as in 4.0, and the same low pings, too.
4.1 is reeeally choppy. also, the music is choppy and distorted.
i am on imac g5 ppc.

please help!

So the topic title kind of implies that specifically 4.1 is choppy, but from your story I understand it's the same with 4.0? Or...?

I suppose he means same fps but chops with instantaneous freezes, like when vsync may be needed or other issues like drivers or the operating system scheduler giving priority to something heavy periodically.

Do you run something else in the background? Can you monitor cpu/ram usage while the game runs?

no its not because of the vert sync, the problem is the 4.1 exe

Anyway, you can switch back to the old ioUrbanTerror again just fine if you want. Just replace the executable.

This person doesn't windows, but a mac. However, if he is indeed saying that everything ran fine with 4.0 and now it's not, it might indeed work very well to switch to the old executable.

PS: Just to make it clear, ioUrbanTerror is a seperate product from Urban Terror. Therefor technically the ioUrbanTerror.exe that comes with 4.1 is not "the 4.1 exe", it is "the ioUrbanTerror executable that comes with Urban Terror 4.1" (haha, long). I only stress this fact cause of possible license issues.
