That's what everyone was saying about xp when it first came out and then everyone was forced to use it anyway since third party software wasn't supported elsewhere and they got gradually stabler since third party  and first party software became gradually better.

Actully for once this is not a vista problem(all though the next problem is sure to be). you need to get the svn version that has a updated q3config. okay vistas fault the opengl runs diffrently
