TBH, I don't run a server, never had nor have I set one up. I know there are many admins more experienced then I when it comes to this. So maybe we could pool the knowledge and come up with a basic information. This is the old, 3.7 manual section, I know we have included much more since this time, but tcould give us a good starting point. Any other takers?

8.1.0 - Server Setup [step by step instructions]

  8.1.2 - Step 2: Configuration
  8.1.3 - Step 3: Activation

  8.2.1 - Urban Terror Gametypes
  8.2.2 - Master Servers
  8.2.3 - Map Rotation

  8.3.1 - Client Cvars
  8.3.2 - Server Cvars
  8.3.3 - Modified server Cvars

8.4.1 - Kicking a player from the server
8.4.2 - Restarting the server using Rcon
  8.4.3 - Baning an IP

  8.5.1 - Enabling referees on a server

I think much of the information on this section from the old manual was already pretty good.  maybe use the existing and build on it

it's okay, but needs some heavy updating...so it makes sense for those who admin/setup help contribute.

Unfortunately I dont have the experience to help but as a user trying to set up a server it would be good to have something about how to do it with a router in place would be good. (based on my newbie server question thread)

also how to setup a server on windows xp/ and windows vista for local lan server gaming (ie playing on a localised network - not the internet)

I'll lend a hand if you like. This might be a good opportunity for me to pick up on the other admin stuff I'm not familiar with.
