WTF ? UrtGo does the same?!

Kinda, but:
Additional to just starting UrbanTerror from the webpage, urtLauncher automatically executes configs based on the map and the gametype on the server you are connecting to.

For example: CTF.cfg BOMB.cfg or ut4_austria.cfg, ...

This allows gametype-based binds (dropped the flag here/dropped the bomb here) as well as map based binds ("I'm going metro" instead of "I'm going <the locationname the mapmaker had in mind when doing the map if he did at all>")

Say goodbye to "I'm at unknown" and "Enemy at unknown"

The new version does no longer require .net 3.5 (only 2.0) and is available for Windows OS only.

More information and the download link:

direct feedback and/or whatever else: mpain@behind.at

ps: thanks to terrorist for f**king up the protocol so now urt:<ip>:<port> and urt://<ip>:<port> works, althought the first version is considered technically correct.

i like this tool... i havent tried it, but the specs sound cool... if dev team pick this up and integrate this into the game it would be awesome!

if you refer to the double /:
Thats why urtLauncher both supports urt: AND urt:// (for compatibility with UrtGo which uses the // links)

if about the url-handler:
Yes we don't use it, but maybe we should.
With this handler you are able to write a guide for noobs and lead them to a specific server.
A mapper could add a link to a server for testing his map in a forum-post.
A link on the clanhomepage might be handy as well.
Possibilities are endless.

it would be super useful for an online spider so you dont have to launch another executable everytime, just click n go.

oh right sorry... example from my q3e+ clan website: http://x.excessiveplus.net/servers/
live updates, you click into a server, gives you launching ability, display of teams and scores etc...
