Well folks, it's been about half a year since I released Icy Jumps 5a. Because I release new versions of all my maps about twice a year, it's that time again!
*Very important*: All other Icy5 maps will conflict with this one. This includes ut4_icyjumps5 and ut4_icyjumps5a, and any beta build for both of these. Before you install ut4_icyjumps5b on your server, please delete all files named "ut4_icyjumps5*.pk3" (where * is a wildcard matching any sequence of characters). Otherwise, you are sure to get missing texture issues on your server. If you will be playing this map solo, without connecting to a public server, then you should also delete all old Icy5 maps. If you were a tester and tested some beta jumps for Icy5b, you should find and delete all such beta maps from your q3ut4 folder.
Here is a list of things new to ut4_icyjumps5b (changes from ut4_icyjumps5a):
Big changes:
- New uber leet jump, "Ph03n1X' Flight".
- Servers running this map are much more stable now.
- New slick floor reflective look.
- New funstuff: leet, noobsy, and aviator.
- Add CTF flag grab room at end of Green Jump (new leet).
- Add CTF flag cap room at end of Amber Cylindro & quzer's Cubbyhole.
Minor changes:
- Move Bobsled start ledge forward by half a tile.
- Golden Tabletop a bit brighter (more light).
- Nooby Maze trigger machinery (floor and audios, button) more robust.
- Indigo leet ledge glass so you can see under you.
- 0x1337 Hangout no more audio spam possible.
- Nodrop in Noob Filter fixed in some areas (top for ramp for example).
- Avocado leet ledge glass.
- Firebrick "holy shit" not spammable any more.
- Nicer wood textures.
- Improved flashing red button shader.
- Scrolling star portals at entryways in tunnels, translucent.
- Fixed capitalization in shader files.
- quzer's Cubbyhole to Bobsled entrance, now is secret thru hollow wall.
- "Teh End" target_print for finishing map.
- Blue, Olive, Salmon, teleport to start instead of bottom (no climb).
- Salmon secret light easier.
- Telekinetic to Less Known easier.
- Remove 3 extra TVs from Avo leet.
- Fun audio when hitting ceiling @ Thistle start.
- Lava ambient audio louder.
- Reduced complexity of map by removing some background audios.
- Light entities back in tunnels, no more light-emitting shaders.
- Reduced glass radiosity.
- Raised Golden leet ledge by 3/16 tile.
- Lava Pit -> renamed to "Lava Pit of Humiliation".
- Added "Jackass' Cheat Spot" sign.
