any ideas?

my system:
IBM Thinkpad R40
16mb ATI Radeon 7500
latest Omega video drivers
1.4Ghz Pentium M
1gb ram
Windows XP Pro

i know that my laptop isn't cutting edge or anything, but i've never had an issue playing Medal of Honor, so i should be able to run Urban Terror as well (same engine, right?)

thanks.

OpenGL refers to your graphics adapter.

If you have an ATI readeon chipset you should be using CCC (catalyst control center) for configuration. Make sure you have the most up to date ATI drivers and CCC on your machine. CCC should have everything set to automatic for you, for it seems like the configuration of your adapter might be a little bit past your tech skill <--Please excuse me if i am wrong on that.

Visit the ATI website, get the drivers from them and install CCC. Then report back here with any new findings.

no offense taken, but i believe you are incorrect. my skillset is very extensive.

as stated, i'm using the latest Omega drivers, including their tweaked CCC. all OpenGL settings are set to "Application select" or "Automatic".

when i attempted to run the game the first time, the log listed an OpenGL error, but it also listed a resolution issue. i resolved this by creating a shortcut of the game and using the "+set r_" method to set my max resolution (1024x768 is the max my display will support). thought that might fix the issue with OpenGL, but as the log I posted shows, it didnt.

last night i uninstalled the omega drivers and reinstalled the non-CCC ati driver (the original version for my laptop). i also installed an xp version on directx 10. no issues playing now.

i would rather run omega drivers and try to get the game to work, but for now, im happy.

thanks for the suggestions.
