[SOLVED] 4.2.013 Main Menu Freeze Rate Topic: -----

Freezes after update

4.1.1 worked flawlessly.
4.2.012 and less worked fine.
After updating to 4.2.013 I launch the game, see no errors while launching, see the FS logo with animations (a bit lagging like always) and then (after a click or waiting) I see the main menu, BUT: The FS logo and it's animations are immediately frozen; there is no Casa fountain image in the background, just that whitish circle and some diagonal blue lines on top and bottom. The game is completely frozen; no mouse, no /bind x quit; bottom left "Contacting auth server" or "Couldn't contact auth server" or "Couldn't login" or something, depends if "authkey" is in place and if internet is connected, but the game is still freezing.

Another thing - I tried erasing my q3config and game launched fine, configured it, tried to connect to a server and waited forever for snapshot, till I quit manually.
Win XP SP3, i4 2.4Ghz, Intel graphics card 128mb, 2Gb RAM.

War is hell, that's why "fun over realism".
CoD/Bf/MoH is "let's fake realism and pretend it's fun".

I changed <seta com_processpriority "0"> to <seta com_processpriority "9"> and some other variables, I also renamed my q3config.cfg to bind.cfg, executed it in game and did /vid_restart. Main menu launching fine, game launching fine, no long waiting for snapshots.
One thing - UMP45 sounds a bit weird, is it supposed to be so?

Not really sure, but it seems that in 4.2.017
seta s_khz "11"
seta dmaHD_enable "0"
Don't like each other and will crash the game.
com_processpriority has little or nothing to do with this.

The sound engine was modified. If you'd like to go back to the old sound, do /dmahd_enable 0 and reload.
