Just encountered the following server side crash:

[...]
********************
ERROR: SV_SetBrushModel: trigger_multiple isn't a brush model
********************
----- Server Shutdown (Server crashed: SV_SetBrushModel: trigger_multiple isn't a brush model) -----
[...]

It occured in between two rounds in a 1v1 on uptown - a quick search i performed didn't bring up anything, but feel free to close/delete this thread if i missed sth related.

..and again.

The error seems to only occur in between two rounds, well, at least if you make a rule out of two incidents ;P
Also, I'd of course be grateful if somebody could quickly acknowledge the report, or even point me in the right direction in case it's a fault on my end.

Hi Qant,

Can you give us some more information please. What maps where played/loaded?
It looks to me as it could be a bug in the map that was played. which if true will require the map maker to fix.

I was only present during the first crash. As I hinted before, the first crash (both crashes actually) occured on uptown in between two rounds in a 1v1 situation, after one guy died midair. I remember the death animation looked kinda awkward under given circumstances, though i doubt that has anything to do with this.

I wasn't attending the 2nd crash, so I'm unable to give any more specific information than what I already posted within the serverlog (InitRound etc..)

=/

Greetings, and thx for taking note!

Okay Qant,

Can you verify that your server files are not corrupt via an MD5 Checksum comparison? I don't think there is any known bug with the current version of ut4_uptown (its been stable for years), which points to some sort of corruption perhaps.

If you need further help with this please let me know.

Aye.. I assume that solved my problem: Pretty much all of my binaries had wrong checksums D:
Guess I shoudn't have relied on the builtin incremental updates >.<

Whatsoever, thank you for your quick help&response!

Nope, it crashed again. Same error, in between rounds. Paranoia made me verify checksums again, but the UrT installation seems to still be okay ;P .. On the other hand i realized i ran the 64bit binary, which I know isn't recommended, so that might actually be it.

Anyway.. wanted to give an update, someone might be interested..

Gonna report if it happens again >.<

The error seems to occur independently as to which Binary 32 or 64 Bit is being used.

Any more hints how i might be able to fix this on my side? Because, whats even more frustrating, is the fact, that the crash doesn't terminate the UrT process, which renders the restart script i've been using useless..

Did you by chance install 4.2 over top of 4.1?

No, it's a clean install. Complete 4.2.014 zip version. Verified the checksums nevertheless.

Are you running a dedicated server or client based?

Dedicated server.

There is a known issue with Windows 7 and so called off the shelf over clocked cards that can cause a random crash if the Open GL API times out.

Dedicated server is ran on Linux.

What operating system and video card are you using?

CentOS on some vps. No video card involved..
