errr.. I'm not sure you do follow..
I assumed my recent answers, and first and foremost the thread title, made clear, that the server is crashing - thus, the server, the dedicated server binary, both 32 and 64 bit, which run on CentOS in a virtual private machine connected to the world wide interwebs..
Keeping this in mind I'm wondering why i would use the (client?) autodownloader which i can't even run on that machine to get a map which furthermore isnt even third party. Its uptown .. ut4_uptown.. sound familiar ;) ?

can you give us any information that may help?
what executables are you using? - did you compile your own?
are there any custom maps on the server or other custom ".pk3" files.
VPS specs.
were you using ia32libs for 32bit binary?
thanks

No, I've been using both official binaries, 32 and 64 bit. The error occured with both versions.

#uname -srmpio
Linux 2.6.32-042stab078.28 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
The OS seems to be running on an i7-3960X, and i believe I'm granted 4GB RAM.

When i tried the 32bit binary on the 64bit OS, yes, i probably did. But since the error occured independently of the version i used i don't think thats a factor.

Yes, there are a couple of custom maps.Though I should add, that I had the exact same maps for years on a 4.1 server without any problems.

You can disable the WYSIWYG editor in your account settings.
I would start by testing with no custom maps (whats true for 4.1 may not be true for 4.2) - if the problem goes away add custom maps 1 by 1 until you crash again to find the offending map (if any).

Alright, that's what I'm gonna do then - running 64bit without any custom maps now..
I really doubt though, the maps I had on the server have anything to do with the crash. After all it's just four really common maps plus a small in-house production of which I'd be really surprised if it caused any problems.

The Shaders are only using textures/mc-uptown/uptownglass.tga and c2nite aka env/box513/box513, should be fine as it's not overwriting anything stock.
try moving them away though temporarily

I know. I did.
My previous post's implicit conclusion to this matter therefore was, that custom maps can be ruled out as a cause for the crash.
