I have the launcher installed and it starts the old version I have of 4.2.
However I don't want to simply uninstall 4.2 because many servers are still using it.
So in essence I have 2 versions (in two directories) installed.
How can I point the web based launcher to go to the new directory?

There should be a program installed to your PC called "UrT launcher settings"

on win7+ you can just type "launcher" into the search window of your start menu.
the executable itself (at least for win) is called "UrT Launcher.exe"

Running it will open a window which allows set the directory for which executable to run. ("Choose new game")

The launcher setup points to where the launcher will install too but not to where the game directory is.

the "UrT launcher settings" just by default opens its "choose new game" open window in its own path by default. it does not point to itself. just set it to your Quake3-UrT.exe and you will be good to go.
