Frankie, what you said is very exciting. This could lead to plenty of really cool ideas. Do you think options like gravity and number of wall jumps could be parameters that could be different in different parts of a map (not quite like that but you get the idea).
Another variable I would be curious about is gravity direction. Im sure that is something that can be changed but is it something that would be available in the map or is it something that would be overridden by the game?
Well the physics material can change the behavior of a surface and more important allow Barbie to decide to remove or add parameters as to what is allowed that directly effects the game dynamics and mechanics and supply it as an entity. A wall jump for example could be assigned a variable that if a player jumps off the wall the jump does not count but is only an entity available in jump and icy maps.
The only thing that is currently excluded is the use of in map blueprints but even then giving the mapmakers a heads up now is they can do all of the cool stuff that we have not even considered and is already available and then supply a working project we can look at as to creating a controllable entity.
Another element might be locked, so your aware of it, is the world settings as it does directly effect physics behavior but the cool way to change gravity is by the us of a physics volume anyways so a mapmaker can define and area where there is a change in gravity when the player enters the volume.
doing "stuff" with dead things.
