Aw man, I so thought about applying as a musician to FS, but was uncertain if they were truly looking for new beats; I guess I do all right in GarageBand, but the sound isn't quite as "refined" in quality as what I'm hearing in the demo clip. Anyhoo, I like what I hear, unifiedtone, I really do! A classical guitar player and lover of orchestral-style is a friend of mine.

I'm giving you a big happy musical hug! Welcome to the community (:-D)

Great sound, the music in urban terror 4.1 is infrequent and could use some improvements.
Having the soundtrack controlled by game events would be really interesting (replying to someone’s earlier comment, not sure whose) but it also sounds like it would be a huge pain to implement.

Sounds a little COD like, but you're definitely capable, look forward to hearing more. Seems like the growth of the FS staff may hint at bigger/shinier things to come?

I like that this guy is capable of a wide range of genres and styles :)

Speaking from experience, making music for games/film is a tough gig!

I use Pro Tools (Version: 9 i think we have)
and soon ill hopefully be getting Finale

Both Mac and PC compatible, Pro Tools is a midi recorder
And Finale is a music writer where you have the sheet music and you put the notes and stuff in. I use it for drum line purposes, im thinking about writing a field show, or a symphony of some sort.

Logic is a recording program like Garage band? not sure i looked at it, didn't seem that great.

Question: Will your music include more then strings?
As in More Percussion, Winds, and Brass.
Will your music be more of an explosion of a solar flare? Like the music flows together at a greater volume that is already is at?

Also during battles can the music flow with how you are playing? you get a kill and the music revs up to a faster beat and becomes more intense as you play? More or less an a question for you or any other admin right there.

I'll keep it short and simple.

1. From your sample I can possibly see your composition skills being beneficial to HD. But like most of the kids here said, I would lean towards the electronic sound with distorted guitars and heavy rock drumming. This brings in the younger crowd (which is the future of this game).

2. If the second sample is a final mix, I can say that your work could possibly make better use of the stereo field. Critical? yes. But please understand I'm in the business as well, and I am being constructive. :p

Good luck to you and the team with HD.
