How exactly does increasing your polling make you worse? Unless of course your cpu can't handle it.

Depends how fast you move your mouse, i'm not going to get into it, but default settings on a gaming mouse is good enough. I was more inclined on the first idea anyways of using the cpl fix, its not worth it...especially in fast games..if your using a....

Disabling acceleration is certainly not useless.

Upping USB polling rate... less sure about that :)

It hasn't made me worse in the recent (four...five?) years...I've always enjoyed the 500hz setting on my MX510 compared to 125hz.  Also: I don't have the logitech software active, because I prefer having fewer variables in the equation.  The only thing that can be made "worse", that I'm aware of, are other USB devices' operation; personally, I've never had a problem with my printer, scanner, keyboard, flash drives, and memory card readers.

Well all I can say is bumping up to 500mhz was a very noticeable difference for me personally. It might be more useful for people who are using a 2000dpi mouse.

Urban terror requires the same quick movements quake does, and what do all quake players use as there sensitivity? Find that out and you have your answer for urt.
