Im thinking about getting some new speakers. Currently I am running on JBL's (good I know but they blew-out). I do some video editing so I need something that will fit to that but also give some nice sound for gaming?
Any ideas?

For gaming you dont use speakers, you use headphones. Seriously, the advantages of just plugging in a cheap set of walkman phones and using them will become apparent within 10 mins of playing time. Once you've tried this you'll not turn back.
As for editing... as long as you have passive speakers with both a balanced woofer and a tweeter you're pretty much good to go. There are loads of them. The main thing here is not to invest in active speakers since they will, of course, generate a different sound than you are actually sending out. Don't let that bass-trap hit your ass on the way to the disc factory.

For speakers I recommend the Logitech Z-5500 Digital. You can get them for about $500 NZD ($388 AUD) and they sound like they cost 4x that amount. It's 505 watts RMS (meaning for your personal use you will never use its top volume), 5.1 channels with a particularly beefy and well-balanced subwoofer (most subs have narrow pockets of range, but this one is pretty even throughout).
It's THX certified and supports PCM, DTS (96 kHz / 24 bit), it is really, really good. I have 2 (one for computer and one for TV).
But I agree with everyone here about the headphones, I use the speakers to play music and everything at the computer but when I'm gaming I use headphones. You can't beat it.

I just bought that 5.1 headphone from razer (yes i know it's basically a rip off but i really love it, and besides, my money), that one seriously beats ANY speaker set.
