Hi everybody!
I have some NOOB problems... with, of course, shaders... I premise i have already searched and followed guides, but still problems...

If i try to put a brush with ladderclip on another brush representing the ladder [as the guide said] i see, in GTKRADIANT the jod done well [i mean the brush is white selected and transparent] but when i compile the map and i push DEVMAP i only see a compact, solid square nontextured...

same as water or lava, they r solid...

Could anyone make a guide for dummies as i am, step by step with images? Or, if anyone knows where those guides are, could give me a link with some easy guide? thx a lot!

By nontextured do you mean that it has red green and blue squares on it or like pure white?

A quick and easy way would be to make the texture that represents the ladder a shader, with only one parameter:

texture/my_folder/a_lad_texture
{
surfaceparm ladder
}

With this every brush (or a certain side of the brush) that has the texture "a_lad_texture", will gain ladder properties.

Important: Do not add this to your shader script file of your final compiled .pk3 map, it is not needed to, and it will cause problems.

For something more professional, wait another reply :-P

Yep red, blue and white stripes, and of course is SOLID as rock... also the brush with ladderclip, not only liquids.

Try inserting this

-fs_basepath "C:pathtoUrbanTerror" -fs_game q3ut4

in the compiler when you compile your map.
