I haven't played UT in a while but after installing it on Linux, I have yet to be able to play on line. PB is fine because I can play regular quake but I've tried
UT 2.4, 2.6, 3.5 and finally 3.7 and I keep getting: Client/Server Game Mismatch BaseQ3-1/Q3UT-3.7. Any clues? And yes, I've checked the mod version when trying to connect.

I had the same issue even though my folder was infact named 'Q3UT3'. Just reversing the solution(above) solved it. For me the command was:
ln -s /usr/lib/games/quake3/Q3UT3 /usr/lib/games/quake3/q3ut3
Thanks guys - never in a million would i have figured this out...
rgds,

That isn't all that bad. Some servers show the gamename as baseq3' date=' [b']manteatsq3ut2[/b], or even urban terror 3.7.
you do know that there are real baseq3 servers reporting to the master, right?
and yeah, i know there is also a cratedm3 server reporting to you
edit: yay! i warmed up an old thread.
