@pss9 this might be a really stupid question but , other than the textures, is something done differently during the map-making?
also, my g36 turned grey/brown today (i think it happened today) - is there any way it was caused by something in this map? (it's not that i don't like it, it's just strange that it changed)
@SubJunk : can you point me to other maps like this one? some small ones if they exist (maximum the size of pss9's fine map )

It's not a common map style, I only know of 5 others:

I used a shader (ink, it's from ut4_crazychristmas) and I covered the brushes with it.
I think that the maps can't change the weapons (maybe with a odd /models/weapons/ shader?) Mine doesn't have strange things.

Thanks SubJunk for the list. I only knew simpons and crazychristmas. I think that Valkover did a winter map with this style (winterassault 3?) but I can't find the map.

I wonder if those making them ever use cg_thirdperson when testing them. 'Cause the players don't fit at all. World of Padman used the 'total cartoon' style but the characters were cartoons too.

I might actually run this on our 3rd party server if a couple things got fixed / changed:
1. clip the outside of the map. put a fence, a rock wall, anything... but falling to your doom in invisible doominess is uberlame.
2. fix the water texture... even just flat blue might fit the theme.
3. Put something in the middle tower of the castle.
4. more cover in the map... hillier... some rocks... random brick walls... anything to hide behind. I'd honestly like to see that instead of jump pads.
Could be a really entertaining map if the flow was a little more flowy. :) Has a mario feel to it with the bright solid colors.
