Now the 2012 skeet shooting event has been announced I can release the 2012 skeet shooting map.



Very much enjoyed working with SevenofNine once again (funny fella) - the map was made with a lot of help from Custom Map Makers, the louls, |ALPHA|GanjaGuy, SexysCore, wurst/dswp guys (great server) and my missus, I hope it's produced a very different challenge map.

So - thank you everyone who helped put this together, it's been fun and your help was really appreciated, you've all got credits in the map.

Already planning the 2013 version and some other competition map ideas.

You can download the map HERE, there are instructions inside the pk3 on how to set up a server, if you have any problems, let me know.

Am now going to put my feet up and watch the show... I wonder if cxo will win again?

A couple of people have asked how they can play (practice) this map on their own local server so just thought I'd add some instructions here.

After you've downloaded map (ut4_skeetshoot_2012.pk3) and copied it to your urt/q3ut4 folder, open the pk3 which is really a .zip file.

Inside you will find another zip file called skeetconfig.zip, extract this somewhere, open it and extract the files:

skeetbots.txt
skeetcycle.txt
server.cfg

BACK UP YOUR EXISTING server.cfg!!!

Copy the 3 files to your urt folder, edit the passwords inside the server.cfg file, launch your server (start server on main menu) and execute the server.cfg file by typing /exec server.cfg in the console... this should configure things and start the map with bots.

Be aware that bots are notoriously difficult to use, they tend to crash the server, I would advise playing online on one of the many skeet 2012 server, these instructions are for those that prefer to practice alone.
