I think they try to fix this my name should be ObScUrE but was not possible.

Admins already have case sensitive names ready for passport so I'm curious about this separation between dev's and normal users.

Actually it looks like usernames are stored as lower-case, they are only served capitalised. Sucks for me too because I like having the capital J in SubJunk :(

The names are stored in lower case. For example H0i changes in hoi. In this case the "h" from "hoi" also covers the "H" and the "o" from "hoi" also covers the "O" and "0".
If your name is changed then you will still be able to use what you entered in the game.

Not 100% accurate H0i :)
I realise that having nice funky Uppercase / lowercase $ % @ characters are liked. However, we specificaly reject them from usernames. This is a username... not a nickname / displayname or tag. Usernames are Letters and Numbers only with no special Chrs.
You can use the displayname feature to manitpulate your username into a more (upper lower case view).
nicknames and tags are stored as a special key aswell as how you entered them.
