i like the design on my heatsink, it has a little bracket for where you put the screw driver so its pretty much impossible to slip and damage the mobo

You can use 2 80mm or 2 90mm fans on it.
As for temps. One guy says he is using an AMD 64 3500+ with it and reports temps of 95f idle to 101f full load with dual fans.

True that. Thats why idiots should have their fingers broken if they try to go inside a pc. I don't think it mounts direct to the socket. Probably uses the 4 mounting holes in the mobo around the socket...some mobos dont have those though. Personally I like this cpu cooler better:
