Hi,
I play UT on a local network and it's been running fine with no drop in FPS at all. Recently I looked through all my old games and installed and played a couple (age of empires II, tony hawks pro skater 2 etc.) since then I'm lucky if I get above 10fps, this hasn't affected every level but most of them. None of my UT settings have changed so I'm guessing it's a problem with my os.
I did have this problem once before and couldn't find a way to remedy it other than to reinstall my entire os. I did wonder wether it was a problem with my sound card, as it only happens with levels that have ambient sound or animation, ramelle is a good example as it has rain and sound although this is only a guess. Also if i'm a fair distance away from another player it's not too bad but closer I get the more my fps drops making killing people virtually impossible.
Any ideas?

have you tried to reinstall UrT? If you do a re-install make sure you first delete the main UrT app file and the quake3 file, go into users/(your.user.name)/library/app. support/quake3
If that doesn't do anything, maybe those other games some how adjust system graphics settings? idk i don't know much about intel chipsets.
