Hi Guys!
Over the past few months i've been trying to get macradiant to work.
unsuccessful to be honest.
That why, i came here, because of pure frustration...
You guys are my last hope ^^)
Sounds melodramatic...
in fact.... it is.
I'm working on:
- Mac Mini (of 2004)
- Snow Leopard
- Version 10.6.2
- Processor: 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo
- Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
- X11 version 2.3.4 (= latest)
What i've done so far:
Downloaded Macradiant-Intel (.dmg including 1.4 and 1.5)
because it was my first move, i didn't set up anything.
So i started 1.4
Action: Macradiant 1.4 starts
Stays open but no window pops up.
In the menubar, all the buttons are unpressable (= grey)
Started 1.5 with the same result.
I deleted all the files which where made by those programs (including those 1.4 and 1.5)
- ~/.radiant //The invisible folder in home directory
- ~/Library/Application Support/Macradiant //The folder in application support
- ~/Games/mapmaking/Macradiant //The 2 applications (Macradiant 1.4 and Macradiant 1.5) i put there
Started all over again, but before i opened the .dmg file
I run the packs installer which let you choose for which games you want to set up Macradiant for.
I only choose Quake3 and canceled the rest
as install folder i choose different once, including:
- ~/Games/mapmaking/
- ~/Library/Application Support/Quake3
- ~/Games/mapmaking/zpak000_assets (unzipped file)
Run it again with the same result.
Deleted all the files i just mentioned and started over.
Followed the instructions of:
http://dev.alientrap...wiki/NetRadiant
- Same result!
(I tried all combo's mentioned above)
- Deleted all files i just mentioned and started over
Followed the instructions of:

But... some ppl do get it to run....
If I/you guys get macradiant to work, my first map will have a special secret room for the one with the golden tip!

Edit:
