HappyDay - Cathedral

Ok, now I've added windows at the back and the sides and refined a few more areas. Im quite satisfied with the cathedral so far. I probably won't add any more detail this month. Maybe if I'm bored during the next few weeks I might add a little more but for now it's enough. The next few days I'll spend on the lighting, trying a few different skies and a few different positions for the sun.

Just a few numbers:
This map is really not intended for play. Once I release the map it will be open for everybody to use the cathedral but I wouldn't recommend building a map with it without removing a lot of detail.

well .. id say your next task is to reduce brushes by 50% without changing the details :D
z.b:
- das ganze geländer nicht aus brushes bauen, sondern eine semi-transparente textur nehmen.
- ich weiss nicht, ob patch-meshes besser sind als brushes (von der performance). sonst würd ich die für die kuppelspitzen nehmen.
or just say: 'you need a decent machine to play this!' :D

Well, the objective of the challenge is to use brushes and one texture only. Of course you normally wouldn't build all the detail with brushes like I did. That's why I said it's not suitable like this to be included in a normal map. :)

You're the Reason why i am waiting for an better challenge and not such a difficult one.
btw, i would say you already have won, because you're the best of the submitters until yet.
