Hi everyone!

I have stuttring issue with constant fps 125 and pretty good connection. Lagometer and fps all fine. I noticed that the strength of stuttring may be different when i temporarily switching to the desktop with alt-tab or win-key and back into the game. When i watching demo or staying in spec its all ok, no stuttering.

This video recorded by fraps@60 fps and it shows exacly the same what i see @125(better watching with 480p fullscreen).

PC specs:

- OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Build 7600
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 (Yorkfield, R0)
2500 MHz (7.50x333.3) @ 2495 MHz (7.50x332.8)
- Motherboard: ASUS P5B
- Chipset: Intel P965 (Broadwater-P) + ICH8®
- Memory: 3072 MBytes @ 332 MHz, 5.0-6-6-15
- Graphics: nVidia GeForce 9600 GT (p545)
nVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (G94-300), 512 MB GDDR3 SDRAM
- nVidia driver: nVIDIA ForceWare 258.69
- Drive: Hitachi HDP725032GLA360, 312.6 GB, Serial ATA 3Gb/s
- Drive: WDC WD6400AAKS-65A7B0, 625.1 GB, Serial ATA 3Gb/s
- Drive: ST3500320NS, 488.4 GB, Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s
- Sound: Intel 82801HB ICH8 - High Definition Audio [B0]
- Sound: Creative Audigy
- Network: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
- Network: Intel® PRO/1000 PT

nVidia driver setting:
- CUDA - off
- Anisotropic filter - off
- V-Sync - off
- Threaded optimization - off
- Single display performance mode - on
- Physics - off

Windows setting and drivers:
- nVidia driver: nVIDIA ForceWare 258.69
- Sound drivers: kxProject 5.10.00.3550 for Audigy (using only for loud music playing in foobar2000)
Microsoft standart driver 6.1.7600.16385 for a High Definition Audio motherboard built-in (using for playing in a headphones)
- Logitech G500 mouse: SetPoint 5.40.39, driver version 5.10.9

I tried all possible solutions that could be found on this forum. I have two internet connections, ethernet for urban and dsl for browsing/downloading; i switched that connections on\off, swap them, etc. I tried reinstall, clean, upgrade, remove etc all possible drivers, bios settings, urt's settings, windows settings, affinity, priority. I changed mouse for another, playing with USB rate - nothing. No one of windows compatibility options does not help too, of course. Ive tried Mitsubishi's x86 and x64 builds - they're affected too.

Any ideas?

The fps are far away from 125 in this video.
The topline of your lago meter is not optimal better you test it locally and compare it.

(On severs where I get no 'saw' top line even on 125fps my hits and game is choppy ,too.)

have to go now.

Of course they're far away from because its recorded by fraps at 60 fps. But the video shows exactly what I see on 125 fps.

On local map almost same stuttering.

Can you download this: http://www.thesycon....ncy_check.shtml

Run it, and post a screenshot of the results while having UrT running (just run UrT in windowed mode for testing purpose).

I had suspected polling rate as I had told you but I guess not both mice were 1000Hz. (Logitech suggests 500Hz to hardcore gamers to avoid CPU load issues)

It sounds like an issue that occurs somewhere in the path between the GPU driver and the output of the GPU.
--
driver version changes, gpu overhearing, gpu bug..
--
vsync? but you had that off, even if it fixes with on it inflicts latencies, not a good idea.
--
monitors, antivuruses inflicting load? not very probable usually.
cpu load during gaming (see task manager and sort by cpu). not very probable usually either.

Ye, second mice is a ordinary office crap. So trouble is not in the mouse.

OpenGL works pure or trough directx wrapper?

OpenGL only, directx is only used on input on in_mouse 1 but that's usually off.

see also edits on my previous reply.

I tried few nvidia drivers with driversweeper cleaning. Gpu temperature is pretty cool. I think there is not bug, other games works fine including Q3. Vsync off, sure. AV and other background soft is off.

There is some stange correlation with alt-tab switching to desktop and back to the game.

Ok i see at the screenshot you had a tiny little bit higher latency. Which looked familiar to me..

Maybe turning off Media scheduler helps. See http://forums.urbant...__fromsearch__1

It worked for my spare PC to remove/reduce that increased latency.
