Now, will Urban Terror 4.2 come before Black Mesa: Source and iOS 4.2, or after?
That's basically what Sauerbraten (Cube 2)'s problem is too, but don't worry, it'll get fixed some day, hopefully also for Sauerbraten.

It looked almost as good as Cube 2 right up until the end.
The Bomb Mode explosions have always looked like little more than a few spheres with a fire texture on them (because that's all they are). That really needs to get fixed.

Wow, despite this being a longer "downhill (as referenced by one of the Urt Devs around the start of this year)" than I had expected, it's really nice to see the ever greater looking progress Fro-Sa appears to be making with the upcoming 4.2 version of UrT.
It hadn't been the best weekend gamewise as I played 4.1 on my laptop while my [visiting] cousin was playing Modern Warfare 2 on his PS3. As scary as this may sound, despite the great tides that appear to have been achieved with MW2's engine, I think I've already seen the limitations (graphically).
Seeing 4.2s visual advances in this video renews my hope in next-gen graphics. I actually thought "Look out FF XIII" as I watched the video, 'specially when it came to the water. I just hope for 3 things:
1. The gameplay is just as exciting as it looks.
2. My Intel GMA 950 will be able to stomach this new graphical overhaul called 4.2.
3. I'll be able to turn my cousins' heads the next time they visit.

Ok ppl i know we're all excited and anxious about everything that surrounds 4.2 but imho this map will turn out to be another 40 players pub map, mainly because it looks huge. That said, i don't think it'll get to the competitions. It looks good tho and the rooms are similar to q3 idd, which is "nostalgicly ok" :).
Anyways i sincerely hope that i'm beeing misguided by the video and that cascade is a great pub/leagues map
