Suggestions for UrT's game play

One thing I would like to see improved in 4.2 is the knife's hit detection. There are times when I've got an enemy player trapped in a corner and I'm running into him waving the knife around as fast as I can but I still get no hits. I know how effective the knife is is probably based on ping, both of you and your enemy, but if it is in any way possible to improve hit detection with it in 4.2 it would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think its possible to improve hit detection but i think that way it produces damage could be improved.

What i remember is that many games haves the cheap version of mele weapons.

You click attack button. You see animaton but in reality it creates a point in mid air which causes damage. Its basicly like a gun with very limited fire range. Example gauntlet, hand blaster and axe from quake series do the same trick. Also knife (and strog mele gun) from quake wars still keep same thing going on.

So game doesnt detect that knife caused damage. Because there is no actual knife in the engine. Its just named as knife. A realtime swing effect would make it better and would be sweet :laugh:

I would like ti stay as it is mostly, maybe better animations not better graphics and instead of just crouching how about lying down aswell?

^It should be enormously helped by the increase of cl_maxpackets to 125. Instead of 1/42 max to a latency of 24ms, it's 1/125 with an impressive reduction to 8ms.

But i mean... Damm its hard to improve anymore better than what it is now :rolleyes: its about perfect (ofcourse shooting someone from side while target moves at high speed.)
