Urt HD Weapon Wish List

That’s cool but around here talk about weapons generally makes people edgy. ;)
Weapons is another one of those 50/50 things that is more about how they are implemented than individual specifications.
In most cases and what we have looked into weapons addition is more about cosmetics than it is about running up the specifications to the point that it becomes a mess of confusion so with new additions we are looking more towards creating comparable weapons as a player option.
The FR-F1 addition for example was originally planned as a replacement for the SR-8, which upset a lot of people, so instead we have decided to add it as a comparable weapon to the SR8 as it relates to specifications.
Soooooo
Based on your wish list the Dragunov, which is just a cool weapon, can be matched to the PSG-1 as far as specifications go. Scorpion can match to the MP5 and so on and so on.
By mix and matching this way we can then tie that all into the current improvements of the player models, which will be all unique player models and not just the current two available, and split the load out between the two teams.
Dragons get the AK 47 and SWAT gets the M16 just as an example.
Keep in mind this is just primary stuff

D: what?
Noooonono, please don't do that PLEEEASE
AK-103 is like the coolest model ever from the kalashnikov line excluding the newest ak-200 (talking cosmetics here). Nothing made me more happy when I played this game than the fact that the ak in it was not the 47 for a change.
Also... separate load outs for each team...
I understand it's purely cosmetic but somehow, I don't know if it would fit in this game. But that's just me, everyone else will probably have a word to say on that.
If we have free-will, then why don't we have a choice not to?

...any forecast on when we'll have a pre-beta/beta release with auto updater ready?
*trying to stay on topic*...for weapons

Well I don’t want to make any promises but the Mac port is well under way and the Linux build being tested and the content is in playable condition so unless something fundamental blows up it should not be to much longer.

Also it's wonderful to know that the mac and linux versions are on good health, I rec the mac/lin community is going to be delighted.
